Graduated from Business Administration from the American University of Cairo (AUC) in 1996. Ayman Baky spent 12 years acquiring experience in the hospitality business and has an extensive track record in the operations of many renowned outlets. Finance and logistics are Baky’s expertise, along with strong skills in F&B project management.
The turning point of his career was in 2009 when he joined Tamarai’s management team and became a managing partner until leaving in 2013. Baky went on to start his own Hospitality company aiming to create an elevated dining experience in the capital’s restaurant scene. Today Baky Hospitality owns and manages five of Egypt’s most distinguished outlets and continues to win national as well as international accolades year after year.

Known as the world’s angriest bartender, and with good reason, Walid Merhi is the manager and brains behind Hamra’s notorious Ferdinand gastropub - Ranked #1 of 991 Restaurants in Beirut on TripAdvisor.
We have had the pleasure of working with Walid, as he has come on board the Baky Hospitality team as our Beverage Director. Walid helps craft new and imaginative cocktails while also giving a fresh twist to our already loved ones.
Jordi Carreras AKA “The Maestro” is an electronic music DJ from Barcelona. He has established himself as one of the most prominent artists in Spain’s electronic music scene. In November 2019, Jordi Carreras signed a contract with Baky Hospitality to become our Music Curator, creating exclusive music for all of Baky Hospitality’s outlets. After extensive research, Jordi produced music that matches the mood of each of Baky Hospitality’s outlets and at every time of the day, respectively. In 1993 Jordi helped co-found Plastic, an Academy of DJs and Music Producers in Barcelona – where he teaches young DJs. Today Plastic is considered one of the essential DJ networks and has offices all over Spain.
He has also been appointed as Barcelona FC Camp Nou’s official DJ during UEFA’s Champions League games.
Reif Othman is a multi-award-winning chef whose work has been instrumental in transforming the culinary landscape of Dubai, Monaco, London, Miami, Singapore, and the U.A.E. His inventive culinary creations have seen Reif gain global recognition and become one of the most sought-after chefs in the world.
He was credited with kicking off Dubai’s fine dining scene after becoming Regional Executive Chef of Zuma Dubai, Abu Dhabi & Turkey, overseeing Miami and Hong Kong in 2009.
Chef Reif Othman became Baky Hospitality’s Culinary Advisor by bringing on an array of new flavours to our palettes. He has worked on refining our favourites on the menu as well as creating a new set of exciting new dishes to kick-off 2020.
